Your Truckee Springs Donation Doubled

Two generous donors have stepped up to match every dollar donated to Truckee Springs, ensuring the Wild Side of Downtown is forever protected, and opened to the public. This is a great chance to double the impact of your gift!

Be a part of this incredible local campaign by taking advantage of this generous matching offer and help your community open the south side of the Truckee River in downtown for the public to enjoy, build miles of new trails, and connect downtown to the river via a new pedestrian bridge.

“The Land Trust’s acquisition of Truckee Springs is a total game changer for Truckee. For decades, we’ve envisioned a riverfront open space park to serve as an anchor for the town,” said Tony Lashbrook, former Truckee Town Manager and Truckee Springs committee member.

“This is the perfect opportunity to be involved in and forever remembered for a project that will shape Truckee going into the future, preserving the wilderness character we all cherish right here in the historic core of our community,” said John Svahn, Co-Executive Director of the Truckee Donner Land Trust.

All donors who make a gift of $100 and above will be recognized on a trailhead kiosk.

Ralph Eschenbach and Carol Provan, as well as the Martis Camp Foundation, have pledged matching gifts that will double every donation toward protecting Truckee Springs from now until the deal is complete. Martis Camp Foundation has donated $2.2 million to local nonprofits and students in need. Ralph and Carol are stalwart supporters of the Truckee Donner Land Trust, who have been instrumental with lead gifts to projects like Truckee Springs and Frog Lake, where a backcountry hut will bear the Eschenbach name.

“We are so thankful to the Martis Camp Foundation for playing this integral role in our community, and Ralph and Carol have been so important to the Land Trust’s work for many, many years,” said Aparna Reddy, Truckee Donner Land Trust Board President.
