The Webber Lake House Origins

The Webber Lake House was built by the Clif and Barbara Johnson, the previous owners of the Webber Lake property to enjoy the best the lake has to offer. The House has 4 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms and is fully furnished for your turn-key enjoyment. There is a fully equipped kitchen, hot showers and a wood-burning fireplace. Generator with battery backup means limited electricity. Linens are included. Reservations are a 6 night minimum with reservations starting on Friday.

In 2018, the Webber Lake House underwent a remodeling of sorts thanks to some very generous donors. The Truckee Donner Land Trust received a donation of furnishings for a 3 bedroom house which allowed a refresh in the kitchen, living room and bedrooms. Another donor provided the canoe that is at your disposal. When you are grillling in the back by the lake, there is yet another donor to thank.

Living Area

The living room features a wood burning fireplace. The caretakers ensure that there is always an adequate supply of firewood just steps from the lake side door. Two sofas and 2 armchairs provide seating for your guests with throws for snuggling. A game table is tucked in the corner of the living room with extra seating. A variety of games, puzzles and books are stored in the armoir next to the stairs.

Kitchen

It’s a blast from the past stepping into the Webber Lake House Kitchen! Take a look at the date on the wall calendar! You will find everything needed to make the family meals. The view of the lake from the kitchen table beckons you to linger over morning coffee.

Upstairs Master Bedroom

The Master bedroom is flooded with light from the bay window overlooking the Lake. It features a King sized bed, a cozy chair for reading or relaxing, a desk for recording your reflections on your vacation experience. This bedroom is at the end of the upstairs hallway on the left hand side. All the bedrooms are fully stocked with freshly laundered linens, battery lights.

Upstairs Bedroom

The pink bedroom is at the end of the upstairs hallway and features a walk-in closet, dresser, Queen sized bed and bedside table. All the bedrooms are fully stocked with freshly laundered linens, battery lights.

Upstairs Bedroom

This is the first bedroom you come to in the upstairs hallway. The blue bedroom has lots of charm with its many windows and nooks. Enjoy sitting in the sun in the rocking chair by the window overlooking the Lake. The table and chair in this room are reminders of the past left for you by the prior owners. This room includes a Queen sized bed, dresser, desk, and rocking chair. All the bedrooms are fully stocked with freshly laundered linens, battery lights. Featured in this room is a painting of Bailey (the campground caretaker’s very friendly dog), on the dock freshly sprinkled with the first snow of the season - painted for us by a friend of the Land Trust.

Downstairs Bedroom

The largest bedroom in the house is downstairs just outside the living room. This room is chockablock with beds and a great place for the kids or any one who will have trouble with stairs. The room has 2 Twin sized beds and 1 Double bed. The room includes a dresser and a closet which is where you can find a folding Twin sized cot. This room is adjacent to the down stairs bathroom for convenience. All the bedrooms are fully stocked with freshly laundered linens, battery lights.

Bathrooms

The Webber Lake House has 2 bathrooms. The downstairs bathroom is in the back of the house and has a stand up shower. The upstairs bathroom features a tub. There are nightlights in the upstairs hallway to make it easier to navigate at night.
