WEBBER LAKE UPDATE

The Land Trust is getting Webber Lake ready for its public opening in the summer of 2017.  Camping, hiking, day-use boating and fishing will all be available next year!

For many years, Webber Lake and its immediate surroundings have been a private fishing camp, well taken care of by its campers and caretakers.  In 2017 the Land Trust will swing the gate open to the public, offering camping, trails, boating, and fishing on this spectacular property.  In addition to the lake, the property contains Lacey Meadow and a portion of Coppins Meadow, totaling over 1600 acres of beautiful mountain and subalpine meadows to explore.

Next year will be a year of transition - pardon the dust and construction - as the Land Trust restores the campgrounds.  Camping will be open on a mix of reservations and first-come-first-serve campsites.  Tent and RV camping will also be available, as will the rental of the Lake House.  The Lake will be freshly stocked with trout; fishing and fishing regulations will continue to be managed by the CA Department of Fish and Wildlife.  The boat ramp will be open daily during the open season.

Be sure to return to the Truckee Donner Land Trust website for more information and updates, in the spring.
